Papoose Toys
Started in 1991 by Renske Carbone and later joined by her husband John, Papoose Toys creates felt toys, decorations, and educational resources using only natural materials such as wool, cotton, and wood. The wool products are made under Fair Trade conditions. All this hard work and expertise allows Papoose Toys to bring you safe and wholesome products designed for a safe and happy play experience.
Renske draws on lifelong passions for textiles, craft, and travel to create these unique and original products.
Their first products were hand-painted scarves, table and bed linen. Since then the products have changed a lot but one thing has remained the same: the focus on providing wonderful, practical products that add colour to our lives.
The Papoose Toys range focuses on early childhood, educational and custom-designed products.
Working with natural materials and fair trade has added to the enjoyment of developing the range, as is helping small communities in other countries such as Nepal, Sri Lanka and Indonesia.
